I just spent the last five days with a little human I've seen maybe four times his whole life. I was lucky enough to have lunch with him and my brother before they boarded the train for their next adventure.
He asked me to ride the train with him and I told him I had to go back to work. He looked at me and squeezed my finger trying to convince me to go with them. I crouched down and said he had to go tell my boss I couldn't come back to work because I had to ride the train. He looked up at me and said, "Okay."
I have been very lucky to get to know Adrian and I'm grateful for each of the 120 hours we were together.
